Favor continued

I wanted to give you the rest of the Favor outline.  In my last blog on Favor I gave you the first three points from Jerry Savelle's outline that I have from 1997. 

4.  Increased assets especially in the area of real estate.

5.  Greater victories in the midst of greater odds or impossible odds.  Joshua 11:20

6.  Recognition even when you seem least likely to receive it. 1 Sam 16:22
22 Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, "Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight."

7.  Preferential treatment  Est 2:17

17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

8.  Petitions granted even by ungodly civil authorities.  Esther 5:8

9.  Policies, rules, regulations and laws if necessary changed to our advantage. Esther 5:9

10.  Battles wn in which you won't even have to fight because God will fight them for you.

Ps 44:3
They did not conquer the land with their swords;
it was not their own strength that gave them victory.
It was by your mighty power that they succeeded;
it was because you favored them and smiled on them.

11. Harvest 

I encourage you to print these 11 things out and meditate on the outline and scriptures.  These are all things promised to us.  Remember to start your day confessing your favor and begin believing Him for it in specific areas and situations.  I am believing to hear some good reports of favor on your behalf.

Do you have Favor?

I wanted to continue writing about Favor this morning and begin the list of areas that we can believe for Favor.  This list comes from a sermon outline that I have from Jerry Savelle that I wrote in my Bible in 1997. 

1.  Supernatural increases and promotion.

Gen 39:21

21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

2.  Restoration of all the enemy has stolen.

Ex 3:21

21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

3.  Honor in the midst of your adversaries.

Ex 11:3

3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

These are the first three areas that we can believe for Favor.  Notice that in each of these verses  the Lord gave favor to his people. None of these were favorable situations in the natural.  This is one thing that is important to remember that this is not natural favor this is supernatural favor that we can believe for and people will respond to it and not even know why.  We are believing for this favor so that we can carry out His will and testify of His goodness.  I will just leave you with the first three today to meditate on and list more in my next post. 

The Good Life

Eph 2:10
10 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

This is a verse that I like to read and pray on a regular basis.  This verse is not in any of the notes I have on Favor but I wanted to include it this morning.  I want you to notice that at the end of this verse it talks about the fact that God has a good life already prearranged for us.  It is just our part to walk out the life he has prepared by being obedient and sensitive to the Spirit.  God wants to show you his favor today he is just waiting for you to exercise your faith and believe Him for it.  There are so many instances in the Bible where God favored his people.  He has a plan for each of us and sometimes it will require the Favor of God in our life for certain things to be accomplished.  He wants to favor you as you walk out this good plan and it will be a witness and testimony to others of His hand upon your life.  As we study the lives of people who walked out the plan of God for their lives we see many instances of favor that helped them fulfill the plan God had for them.   Look at the lives of Deborah, Esther, King David, Daniel and Paul  as well as many others.  As you read and meditate on their lives you will see the Favor that was on their life that caused them to do extraordinary things.   These people were no different than us they had to step out in faith.  I know that as you begin to stir yourself up concerning favor you will see Him at work in your life TODAY!  

Favor

Last Wednesday night we had Jerry Savelle ministering at our church and he ministered on "Favor".  Later that night I remembered that I had written an outline of one of his sermons on "Favor" in my Bible in 1997.  Over the next few blogs I want to share this outline with you.   I will start out with the definition of Favor and give you some scriptures and then in other blogs I will share with you some areas that we should be believing for the Favor of God.

Favor - to support, to endorse, to assist, to make things easier, to provide with advantages, to show special privileges.

Wow what a definition, how wonderful to realize that God wants to support us, endorse and assist us, make things easier, provide us with advantages and show us special privilege.  

Ps 5:12
2 For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD,
You surround him with favor as with a shield.

This verse tells us that the Lord surrounds us with favor.  The thing that we have to do is to begin to exercise faith in this Favor.  Remember what Jerry told us to do?  Every morning when we get up we need to be confessing  His Favor over our day.  Begin to expect favor everywhere you go, in every situation you find yourself in and with every person you meet.  Start exercising your faith in favor and you will begin to see God working in your life in every area that you exercise faith for favor.  More later!
